There’s *so much* to do in/around #Nashville in June. Here are just a few of the many activities you might want to explore further.
June 1, 15, and 29: Nashville Sounds Military Sunday. Every Sunday throughout the 2014 campaign the Nashville Sounds will wear camouflage jerseys as a salute to all members of the armed forces. All fans presenting a military ID card can receive $5 off Reserved or General Admission tickets. Pregame ceremonies will honor distinguished members of the local military commands.
June 1 (and July 13, August 10 and 24): Tennessee Association of Vintage Baseball games take place. Noon at Bicentennial Mall. They use the rules, equipment, costumes, and culture of the 1860s. Visit tennesseevintagebaseball.com for more information.
June 4: CMA Music Festival Kick-off Concert at Riverfront Park (11:00 am to 4:30 pm).
June 5-8: CMA Music Festival, downtown Nashville (we still call it Fan Fair): four days of free music from all your favorite artists and some you haven’t heard of yet – but it’s likely you will over the coming months! Here’s the line-up for LP Field for each evening of the festival – but don’t be surprised if unannounced artists show up…

June 7: National Trails Day. Every state park will offer guided hikes, nature classes, or free programs. Visit tn.gov/environment/parks/hiking for more information.
June 12-14: Bonnaroo, Manchester, TN. 2014 line-up includes Elton John, Kanye West, Jack White, Lionel Richie, Vampire Weekend, Skrillex, Arctic Monkeys, The Avett Brothers, Phoenix, The Flaming Lips, Wiz Khalifa, Ice Cube, Janelle Monae, Lucero, and a lot more. Have a great time but be safe.
June 20: Night Market at the Nashville Farmers Market. Shop and sip under the stars. Wine bar!
June 21: RC & Moon Pie Festival, Bell Buckle. Music, cloggers, games, crafts, and the world’s largest Moon Pie! Bellbucklechamber.com.
June 21: Jefferson Street Jazz & Blues Festival. Music, food, family fun. Local jazz and blues musicians. Jumptojefferson.com
June 24-28: Summerfest in Ashland City, Riverbluff Park. Concerts, carnival rides, and fun with a Cumberland Catfish Cookoff on June 28 (5:00 to 8:00 pm) followed by fireworks display.

All of June at Cheekwood: David Rogers’ Big Bugs, ten enormous (as in 25+ ft) bug sculptures made of fallen wood, twine, bark, etc. There are great interactive exhibits for the children, too.
