Sept 5-6, 6:00-11:00 pm. Taste of Tennessee Festival at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds Speedway. Craft beer and spirits industries are the star of this show (35+ brewers, 100+ beers; 25+ distillers). On Friday, there’s a Craft Brewers Fest, and on Saturday, it’s an Artisan Distiller’s Fest. The top 35 bull riders in the world will compete against Bushwacker, (who will be retirning at the end of the 2014 season). Nashvillian Cody Nance, who ranks 9th in PBR world standings, will perform. Sept 6, 3:00 pm. 3rd Annual Sunset on the South Harpeth. 5289 Old Harding Road, Fernvale, TN 37064. Join David Marks on his farm for Sunset on the South Harpeth. Explore a 1920s dairy barn, hike alongside the South Harpeth River, and try some kayaking (all equipment is provided). 4:00 pm hike. Live music.
